Exactly what is offered depends on where you pick up: from Croatia the EU option covers the neighbouring EU states, and from Albania there is a separate Greece option. The widest option clears your hire car for Albania, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, North Macedonia, every EU country, and Switzerland, with the fee covering the Green Card. Fewer cars carry this extended authorisation.

What does the widest cover include?

The widest option is the broadest authorisation available. It clears your car for the whole Western Balkans plus every EU member state and Switzerland. If your trip crosses several borders or heads deep into the EU, this is the tier you need.

What cover do you need?

Choose the widest cover option when you book. It bundles the cross-border authorisation with the Green Card, so a single add-on covers the entire journey. Nothing can be arranged at the border; it has to be on the booking.

Which cars are eligible?

Fewer cars carry this wider authorisation. It is a smaller pool than the regional routes, because the insurance reaches across the whole EU, so filter for eligible cars when you search.

When is the widest cover worth it?

Choose it for a longer route beyond the immediate region: driving up the Croatian coast into Slovenia and Italy, looping through North Macedonia, or heading further into central Europe. For a single neighbouring country, a regional tier may be enough.

One-way drop-off

One-way rentals dropping off in another country are not available on any route. The car must return to the country you picked up in; drop-off at a different location within the same country is permitted.
